The Walthall County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two apparent self-inflicted deaths that occurred Monday and Thursday mornings in the county.

Sheriff Kyle Breland said Nicholas A. Rome, 23, 322 Harveytown Road Lot No. 3, Tylertown, died around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning and Glenn E. Todd, 63, 416 Elliot Cemetery Road, Tylertown died shortly after 8 a.m., both of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Breland said Rome was found in his home and Todd was found in the driveway of his residence.

He said both are still under investigation pending autopsy results. Both bodies have been sent off of the state crime lab in Jackson.
