GLOSTER — A two-vehicle wreck on Highway 24 just south of Gloster Saturday morning left one person dead and several injured, according to the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol.

Jazmine L. Jarrell, 19, of Daniel Road, Centreville, died in the collision around at 10:48 a.m.

Jarrell was a passenger in an eastbound 2003 Toyota car driven by Donald L. Jackson, 20, of Gloster when it crossed the center line and struck the left side door of a westbound 2005 Buick driven by Florence M. Morgan, 67, of Centreville, according to a patrol report.

The Toyota ran off the north side of the road and overturned. Jarrell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson and another passenger, Anna Marie Haynes, 81, of Gloster, sustained moderate injuries, as did Morgan and her passenger Lewis Hamilton Morgan, 65, of Centreville. All were taken to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
